New Book.
Chapters 11 and 12, The Ending and Authors Note (TROMC)
Bostan Said...................................
I really like the whole story and it had some really sad parts but then some really nice parts. You could really tell that Mercy's Indian mother loved her and in a big and strong Indian way her Indian father did too. I was sad when he died and the paragraph was so straight to the point that i had to read it again to understand that it was him that died. My only regret is that it was not longer and with me that is a good thing, who whats a good book to end??? But their is that lagging feeling of her lonely father back in her old home that is a very sad thought. I don't know why but i think Joesph and Mercy would have been a good ending or future ending, and in the Ending chapter and they tell that Sam was not ransomed but died that was really really sad, but at least he had a happy ending. The stupid St Lawrence river! Well i liked the book exceedingly!

I thought the ending was great, and I think that this was my favorite chapters so far. I think that it was write for her to stay. I was so so so sad when her Indian father died!!!!! It was so sad, he had just helped and saved Mercy, from those horrible sailors. But I guess that is what happens when you take on a bear, but still that just about toar my heart out. I also was defiantly not happy when Ruth did not want to let Mercy morn. I am glad she did not escape, for I believe the Indians needed her more. I also liked how the author took real life and made a story out of it. Well all in all I LOVED it and can't wait to read False Colours!

Chapters 3 and 4 (TROMC)
In the paragraph it says that she is 11, so ya.
Well i think it is a very good book, i agree Ruth is very annoying. I am happy that Mercy's brothers and her other family are still alive, but i am sad about what had happened to Mercy's sister. Oh and Eben's sisters, that is so sad that they died, but really it wasn't all his fault, i just feel bad because he has to live the rest of his life with the guilt. I would be not so angry as Ruth, or sobbing so much like the other poor girls and boys, but i would still feel anger towards the Indians for doing that. I want to find out why they went through so much trouble to take back so many prisoners. I hope Little Daniel survives for Mercy and i can't wait to read the rest of the book.

I loved it! I am unbelievably annoyed at Ruth, yet I can understand her pain, and why she does the things she does. I have to say that I would probably be like Mercy, or now called Munnonock. I would have been interested in their language and not unwilling to see the good in the Indians. I really like it so far, and am happy with the main characters, because they are not perfect. I can't wait to read chapters 5 and 6 tomorrow, and find out what Munnonock means.
Future Reads
I was thinking, for some of our future reads would you like to read some of Jane Austen's books. Like every other book we read, after bloody Jack, we could read like Pride and Prejudice, another different book, Emma, and another book, and so on. It does not have to be in that order, but I really want to read all of Jane Austen's books, and I have only read one and it was a long time ago. What do you think? If you don't want to because you have already read some of them, don't worry about it, we don't have to, but if you would like to, I think it would be fun. If not I will pick out a different book for a future read. It is just a suggestion. I can't wait to see you face to face in may, and can't wait to hear you in the mean time. My letter should be in the mail some time soon, sorry it has been taking so long, but these last few months have been quite hectic.

Bostan Said....................
I teared up! I would have cried but i was in front of people and that would have looked weird. But it was so sad that for a minuet i wanted to stop reading, but i continued and it is good even though it is so so so very sad. When Pierre slowly faded i thought he was just faking it and even though they had buried him i was waiting for him to come back. Every time when a loved one dies in a book or movie i always wait for them to pop back up and come back even though a part of me knows that it won't happen. Ahhh! I was just not expecting that it is so sad.

I loved it, but it was soooooooo sad. The thing with me is that, I normally don't cry with movies, but I cry more with books, which is kind of weird. I cried when I read that Pierre died. I think I could survive being stranded on a island as long as I had my friend and my husband. But to have one of them die, especially if that was your husband, with whom you planed to spend the rest of your life with, die on you, I don't know if I could stand it. Especially if that was a third of your population, and helped you the most with hunting and building. I would have been so traumatised. I was not expecting him to die..... It was kind of like, What? At first when he got sick, I thought, oh no he is going to die, then eh got better and I was so relieved, then when he actually died, I thought some how they would save him or something. Oh it was such a terrible yet wonderfully written chapters. I could just feel her pain. I wonder what is going to happen with the Indians...... Well I can't wait to read the next chapters, (16-20) I had to force myself not to read on. Well it looks like we will be done with this book by Wednesday. I hope I get my book in by then.

Chapters 1-4 and Intorduction (Paradise)
Paradise
Okay, we are going to finally read this book! Starting tomorrow, (March 13) we will read the intro and chapters 1-4. Normally we will read 5 chapters, but since we have the intro we will only read four. Oh, and BOstan, can we only read four on Tuesdays? I am really busy, so it would help. Tanks. So I will put up a post in drafts for chapters 1-4 and the intro. I can't wait. I hope this turns out to be a good book, and I hope you like it.
